In 2005 Nicolas Tallarico, a gifted chef, left Argentina and moved to Toronto, armed with his mother’s recipes and a dream – to bring the empanada excellence to Toronto and Canada. It was then that the House of Empanadas was born and destined for artisan and taste greatness.
Nicolas started selling empanadas as a vendor at the Brickworks Market every Saturday, and then opened a booth in the Distillery District Sunday Market. Inspired by the warm Toronto embrace, House of Empanadas started creating new and exciting combinations of flavours, with an emphasis on savoury and beautiful Argentinian/Canadian flavours.
Nicolas is committed to sourcing locally and to sustainable and ethical ingredients. House of Empanadas has created a fresh take on frozen cuisine by balancing quality ingredients, unique taste and ethics to create a memorable gastronomic experience on take out or ready to bake at home empanadas.
Dough: Water, All-purpose Flour, Vegetable Oil, Corn Starch, Salt.
Filling: Mozzarella Cheese, Mild Spinach, Chorizo (Pork, Spices, Garlic, Paprika).
